Finding out More
Parent and Teacher evenings are arranged twice a year usually in November and March so that parents have an opportunity to discuss children’s progress with the teacher. Where parents have cause for concern about their child, however, they are very welcome to call at the school at any time during the session. It would be appreciated if an appointment was made in advance, except in emergency. An annual workshop takes place at the start of the session explaining teaching methods, materials, record-keeping, and assessment.
Throughout the year we have opportunities for parent to visit the school. We have Open Mornings/Afternoons which focus on particular curricular areas. These allow parents to see their child in their own class. We also have class assemblies in which children share what they have learned during the term. We also have many other formal and informal opportunities for parents to become involved with the school.
